Life is good!

Now that school is almost over, I have had much more time to think about wedding stuff. We have finalized the caterer and figured out a tentative menu which looks delicious! My mom and best friend Jacqueline and I all went to meet with the wedding decorator to discuss more decoration ideas.

The final decision on colours are .................. Orange and Purple! I know this might sound strange, but they look great together!

Erin and Jacqueline and I are going bridesmaid dress shopping today, It should be an adventure...

5 month COUNTDOWN IS ON

So, Yesterday was the day we began our 5 month countdown. I must be honest, I am getting so excited!

We have a few things checked off the TO DO wedding list:

1)Engagement photos:
We went with our photographer to get our engagement photos done, and it was so much fun, although a little awkward kissing a hundred time in front of a stranger. I am so anxious to get them back!

2) Location:
We are getting married at Hayward Lake gazebo. And the reception is at the Powerhouse museum at Hayward Lake. It is beautiful there, and who knows maybe between the ceremony and the reception we could go for a swim.

3) Dress:
I love my dress story! I was feeling stressed one day after school and I thought a little shopping could lift my spirits! I went to the local bridal shop by myself and was convinced by a sales attendant to try a few on. After 45 minutes and 15 dresses I decided a found the perfect one! And it really was perfect, It was on SALE... I would upload a picture, but I don't want Brian to see!

Brian has been great throughout this whole process, by great I mean- he sits back, does absolutely nothing, and says that anything I want is fine.... Works for me

Dum DumTa Dum

BIG NEWS

We are engaged! We are both really excited. Brian brought me to Harrison Hot Springs, and took me on a romantic walk, bent down on one knee and popped the question. Although, I knew what was going on the whole time, it was still very romantic!

So now the planning begins...................

A Perfect Saturday

Brian and I made an oath to make Saturday our day of activity. Although this did not last as long as we had hopped, our first Saturday was awesome. We headed to Stanley Park in Vancouver, strapped on our roller blades and went for a skate around the seawall. Then put on our swimsuits and took a dip in the largest outdoor saltwater pool in North America, which just happens to be right on the sea wall!
After the fantastic day of rollerblading, we headed to the Ralston`s (family friends) 25th wedding anniversary in Ladner. I got roped into bartending for a while, but managed to sneak away we were able to really enjoy ourselves and spend some good quality time with the family. It was great to celebrate with the happy couple and be part of this fantastic party.

Lake Powell

After Brian had been such a trooper with the Lepine gang in Mexico it was time for me to meet his extended family no matter how nervous I was. It actually turned out to be much much less painful then anticipated. We departed Mission in a hurry and started our 16 hour drive to Salt Lake City Utah. Now after in 16 hours in a car I came to one conclusion, a Honda Civic is NOT a good 5 person car.
We had finally arrived in Centerville, Utah and pulled up to the Hales beautiful home. We had some time to kill before embarking on our week journey to Lake Powell so we were able to see Salt Lake City and even go to a SLC Real soccer game. Annie (Brian’s cousin) got great tickets two rows up from the field so it made it even more intense!
We spent a few days in Centerville and then heading the beautiful Lake Powell that I had heard so much about.

It was so great, even more beautiful then the picture I had seen. Our week on Lake Powell consisted of a few things:
1) Eating great food
2) Boating and swimming all day
3) Cards
4) Sleeping under the stars

Now a few things did make this wonderful trip a little more memorable;
1) Getting whipped off the Water Weenie and smashing my ear
2) Learning to sleep in a wicked wind storm, and how to pick up your sleeping gear before the freak rainstorm soaked it.
3) Experiencing what the smell of human faeces smells like when the sewage tank overflows

All in all the trip to Lake Powell was unforgettable!
We made it back to Centerville alive! We had a week to kill in Centerville before the journey home and we got to experience a ton. We went to a SLC Bees game (Baseball team) and saw the Bees beat a Washington State team who are actually owed by Nick Lachey. We made a trip to the outlet stores in Park City, and also got to experience the famous Alpine Slide. The SLC tour was given to those of us who have never been (Myself and... thats it).

Our time in Utah was coming to an end, so we said our goodbyes and headed back to B.C.
Made a quick stop over at Grandpa Cervo's and had a great dinner and a quick sleep before making the last leg of our journey. Although the trip was fantastic it was nice the see my family and get back into our regular routine and beds.

During my stay in the States, I missed my beautiful sister Elise's graduation. She was by far the most gorgeous girl there so I thought I would share some photos. She was also Valedictorian and made a fantastic speech which I was later able to see thanks to my dads fantastic videography skills !

Jingle Bells

It wasn't a white Christmas but our first Christmas together was great. It was awesome to be able to spend Christmas with both families and share in new and old traditions. We both went a little overboard with the presents and the turkey. Brian was so great and got me the best camera, a Cannon Rebel. He did a great job with picking it out! I unfortunately couldn't keep a secret until Christmas and surprised him a bit early with a trip to Mexico, so all he got on Christmas morning was a lousy T-Shirt.
